Coronavirus – Where To Get Help

111 is a dedicated coronavirus helpline managed by NHS 24:

  • If you want any coronavirus advice, go to NHS Inform, or ring 111 and select option 1 – this is a separate coronavirus helpline that NHS 24 manage.
  • If you are an adult, and think you have coronavirus and your symptoms of new, persistent cough, fever or loss of taste and smell aren’t improving after 10 days, then call 111 for further clinical assistance – if you need a face-to-face assessment for your coronavirus symptoms this will be provided at a Covid Assessment Centre.
  • If you are concerned about coronavirus symptoms in a child younger than 16, but there is no persistent cough, please first contact your GP practice. If your child does have a cough please ring 111 for further assistance.
  • If you need clinical assistance with anything that isn’t related to coronavirus you should continue to access care via your local pharmacy, GP practice, or by calling NHS 24 on 111. In an emergency, dial 999.
