Contact Scotland BSL is a Scottish Government service that provides telephone access for Deaf users throughout Scotland through a live BSL video interpreting relay service. Contact Scotland BSL is proud to provide Video Relay Service (VRS), allowing all Scottish callers contact through BSL relay interpreters to services including public, third and private sectors within the whole of Scotland, excluding international calls. All NHS24 (111) and Police Scotland 101 calls take priority over other calls.

A video relay service (VRS), also sometimes known as a video interpreting service (VIS), is a video telecommunication service that allows those who require it to communicate over video telephones and similar technologies with hearing people in real-time, via a sign language interpreter.
